NAVAJO SANTA AWARDS RED MESA HIGH SCHOOL $5,000
TO FUND TEXT AND LIBRARY BOOKS

MONUMENT VALLEY, UT. Navajo Santa, committed to helping the education system prepare children of the reservation for the future, awarded Red Mesa High School with a $5,000 check for text and library books as well a gift of two sets of wood working tools each valued at $1,000.
This Education Initiative part of the Navajo Santa Goes to School program began in 2008 to award a pre-selected high school funding for a project or projects that have merit. This award is available up to $5,000 and can be used for one or more projects that are deemed relevant to the schools mission. In past years Navajo Santa awarded Whitehorse High School $4,186.72 and Monument Valley High School $5,000.
On hand to receive the award were Red Mesa High School biology teacher Doug Davis and wood working teacher Lee Begay.
