We provide this support with three annual programs:
NAVAJO SANTA FAMILY DELIVERY
A delivery of gifts to families in need across the Utah strip. Traditionally this program has always been held the first weekend of each December.
NAVAJO SANTA GIVEAWAY
The Navajo community gathers for a give-away of food, warm clothing, tools, toys and to enjoy a traditional Navajo dinner. This general gathering is held the same weekend of our Family Delivery in early December.
NAVAJO SANTA GOES TO SCHOOL
Each year one school is identified to provide students with warm coats, back to school items, eye examinations, dental hygiene kits and dental education. This past year was our fourth annual Back to School program and was held at Bluff Elementary. Read about our most recent delivery
We are very fortunate to have many, many dear supporters wihtout whose generous giving we could not have made these many years of Christmas giving possible—thank you!
NAVAJO SANTA PREPARING FOR 2008 GIVEAWAY AND FAMILY DELIVERY!
September 16, 2008
SALT LAKE CITY, UT. The Navajo Santa 2008 giveaway will take place Saturday, December 6 on the Utah strip of the Navajo Indian Reservation. As in years past Navajo Santa is preparing food boxes filled with items such as chile, beef stew, green beans, corn, peas, peaches, fruit cocktail, coffee, baking powder, Crisco, salt, sugar and ramen noodles. These food boxes will be loaded onto trucks along with hygiene kits, warm clothing, blankets, household necessities, dog food, toys and games for delivery to Bluff, Utah our staging location.
The family delivery will be Sunday, December 7 and is made possible by generous groups that adopt the selected families and purchase each families gifts. Navajo Santa is fortunate to have thoughtful donors that allow us the means to make this program a success. Thank you to the volunteers helping with the sorting, packing and loading of the food packages and hygiene kits.
See you in December!
